This was my first time at Chain Link. I loved the classes I took with Lily Chin and Myra Wood. I thought PDD was helpful and very professionally run. The workshop instructors were extremely well organized, helpful and professional. The class time was well used and I learned much more than I expected. I am already putting new skills to use with confidence. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations and was a great value for the money. I loved meeting all the "Cyber Crochet" chapter members and have many new friends. It was wonderful meeting so many nice folks from CGOA and I will be going again next year.
ReplyDeleteIt would be way to hard to choose one thing - so to sum it up, I love hanging out with all my crochet friends at Chain Link.
ReplyDeleteIt was heart-warming to meet some of my friends whom I had met in the previous meetings, and friends I "talk to" in on-line groups.
ReplyDeleteIt was also thrilling to make new friends.
The fashion show is a must to attend. There are many talented artists who bring their work for everyone to see and admire.
Let's not forget the amazing creations that could be seen at any time during the event. It is always such a delight that one just must go with an open mind and open eyes.
It was also very interesting to see new products, and to find out that I had no willpower whatsoever in my spending habits.
I had a great time a Chain Link. It was my first time there. It was wonderful being able to meet so many people I had encountered on-line in real life. I made some new friends and got to have a birthday drink with Mary Beth Temple. All in all, not a bad way to spend a few days!
ReplyDeleteThe entire conference was a fabulous experience. Enjoyed talking to old friends & making new ones. Loved seeing all the crocheted fashions, the brain was busy with ideas. Classes & teachers, market, fashion show - more ideas.
ReplyDeleteI'm still working up swatches from class handouts, and filling up my conference binder.
I loved meeting new people, and hanging out with my old friends at Chain Link. It was a great week, and I'll remember it for a looooooong time!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited that CGOA is blogging now!
ReplyDeleteI had such a good time at my very first Chain Link! It was so nice to meet everyone who I'd been talking to online for a couple of years. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I learned so much in my classes and PDD. I can't wait for next year.
I did not attend the conference but I can't begin to tell you how excited I was to win third place in crochet for art for my pop top bowl. It was the first time I had entered anything like this and could not believe I had won third place. Still so excited. Denise Royal
